When I found out that I was one of the bloggers selected to host a party full of cool swag from R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour, I was pretty excited. My party kit contained a screener of "Grampires" one of R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour episodes, t-shirts, bumper stickers and slap bracelets as well as some fun vampire fangs.
Trick-or-Treat in our area was on Sunday, so I wanted that weekend to be special for them. I figured Saturday was the perfect date for our party! We invited some kids from the neighborhood and let the fun begin!
We started off our party by making Caramel Apples I think the grownups did most of the work, but the kids loved eating these tasty treats!
After the kids ate their caramel apples, we made a fun Halloween Party Mix. It was super simple to make too. We just popped a bag of popcorn in the microwave, put it in a bowl, then added some pretzels and Candy Corn and mixed it all together. The kids kids sat down with their Halloween Party Mix and watched the Grampires R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour episode.
The kids thought the Halloween Snack Mix was delicious and couldn't get enough of it! I can't count how many times I heard them freaking out over the Grampires episode! Half of it was just the kids being silly kids, but it was still funny watching them pretend to be scared!
Once the episode was over, I took them into the garage and turned them into actual vampires; scary!
They all looked so scary, I had to cover my neck so they didn't bite me!
I decided that I better let them drink some blood before they tried! It was a race to the finish to see who could drink it all the fastest!
They had a hard time getting it all with those crazy vampire fangs, but Lil Man got the most so he was deemed the "Ripper" of Vampires!
Overall, the kids had an awesome time and loved the party so much that they want to do it again next year!
That looks so fun! I love the "blood"!
