Summer Fun - Backyard Safari Outfitters Review

Summer has finally arrived and we couldn't be more excited! The weather's nice and lots of fun is to be had. That's why we're celebrating this fun season as well as Mel moving into a new house on a lake here at Outnumbered 3 to 1. My Lil Man was first introduced to Backyard Safari Outfitters last year. He checked out the cargo vest, bug vacuum and a couple of others. The whole family had a blast with the stuff, which was quite surprising. You never really know how interesting this stuff is until you try it out for yourself!

This time around, we got to check out the Base Camp Shelter, Camouflage, Mega Magnifier and Hiking Stick. Each piece came with an expedition guide and patch for Lil Man to put on his vest as he accomplished the missions too! I thought that was a really great addition because it gives the kids something to work towards.

The Base Camp Field Shelter and Camouflage are perfect for him! He is an adventurist and having tools like this on hand makes it all seem so real to him!

He's always wanted a walking stick since we saw some hand-carved ones up north where we camp every year. Having said that, I'm sure you can just imagine his excitement when he opened up the box and the Expedition 2 Hiking Stick was in it! Of course it comes with a pop up field guild and a patch for you're little one to earn after doing the missions.

The Mega Magnifier is a favorite with the entire family! All of the kids {ok, and the adults too!} have been having a blast looking at each other with this humongous magnifier. People's heads have never been so big!

All of the Backyard Safari gear came with us the very first day we went to the new house to start remodeling. Well, everything but the vest and previous stuff he had because that was all packed away months ago. The Base Camp Field Shelter and Camouflage have kept him very occupied while the grown-ups are working. He's been adventuring non-stop!

The Base Camp Field Shelter had a four panel pocket that can hold all of his gear and he can pretend he's on a real mission. Overall, my kids love the Backyard Safari stuff and I think everything they carry is just great to fuel kids' imaginations!
